Divine Experience
“Jai Gurudev!! This is second experience from Mr. S. K. Sharma (Mantoo) from New Delhi! It is mid June of 1984, 24 years back and I am with Guruji trying to sleep after dinner. I am sleeping on the Ground and Guruji is on wooden Takht. The electricity as usual in Delhi was not there. I am sweating and trying to get some relief out of a cane Pankha waiving some time on Guruji and some time on self to keep some air flow running. Suddenly keeping in mind the day schedule which was very hectic, I thought Guruji must be tired so ask his permission to massage and press his legs and feet. Guruji in half sleep allowed me and I started pressing his legs and feet to give him some comfort. I also felt like I am tired and started talking to Guruji. Guruji, I said, can there be a place in this world where there is a big room on top of a hill and the front portion of this room is of Pure Glass. You open the curtains and there are clouds and clouds’ anywhere you look and the moment you open the window, cloud and fog come in to your room , you smell the clouds and a light smell of Eucalyptus is what you feel from the clouds. You look down from the window and see large Flora and Fauna of green valley’s all around. Guruji, now under full influence of Sleep get slight angry and say Mantoo aub soo Ja . And also tell me “aare yahain to light hee nahin hai aur too Pahadon aur Valleys kee bat kar raha hai” ( Meaning there is no light in the room and you are talking about Valleys and mountains) .Go to sleep is what I hear next. In the morning I forget what happened last night and continue with my normal activities and Job in Delhi. First week of December 1985. I get a interview call from one MNC of Thailand which was engaged in Fast Food Business. I respond to the call and attend the interview. I get Letter to Join their marketing operations in Kathmandu. Flight of Royal Nepal Airlines was too tiring because it was to Leave Delhi in the morning but left in the evening due to some technical problem. I am received at the airport by one of the employees of the company and he drives me to a house which in fact is a Fully air-conditioned Chinese type Two story Hut with all latest amenities. He asks me for Dinner but I refuse and tell him I want to sleep. TUK TUK is what I hear and when I open My eyes, medium size Gorkha standing with folded hands says shaab Chai Laoon(sir should I bring Morning tea for you) I say no. He asks me shaab should I remove the curtains as it is already 9.00 am in the morning. At first I say no, I want to sleep more but then, I call him back and tell him to open the curtains. These are roll on off white curtains if I remember rightly and he start pulling strings from one side. Meanwhile, I just take out one beautiful photo frame in which I am sitting on ground and Guruji has his hand on my head. My Mother told me that when you reach your new place of residence the first thing you should do is to sthapit (install) Guruji in the room. I take out the frame and take it to my forehead to namaskar my Guruji. I keep the frame on back rest of my Double Bed. Tiredness and sleep of yesterday night was so relaxing that I get up and move towards the glass pains in front of me. When I reach the glass I see nothing and only white and white fog. I ask the gorkha what is happening outside and he replies carelessly “Shaab Badal Hain” (sir, they are clouds) and it is raining he said. I keep on standing there and suddenly the cloud cover in front of me is over and what I see is next to believe in this wrold. Shivering and crying, I stand there and see what I have imagined in mid June of 1984 while I was pressing legs and feet of Guruji. I am standing in a house which is on top of a hill in Kathmandu’s Sanepa area and this full plain glass front is what faces the valley beneath me. I find Lush green trees, Lots and lots of clouds beneath me and clear view of large Kathmandu Valley full of activity. I try to open the two side window pane and what I discover is a big white layer of fog entering the room . I get somewhat confused and ask the Gorkha what is it. Gorkha tells me it is a big cloud entering the room he pleads to shut down the window immediately as the cloud will dampen all what is there in the room. I just ignore this guy and find very light smell of Eucalyptus tree coming out of this cloud. I sit down on floor keeping both my hands on face and start crying very loudly. Gorkha is stunned and does not know how to react. I only hear voices saying “Shaab Shaab Shaab kaya hua” (What Happened) I tell him, This is the second visit to this place from our side, my Guruji has already visited this place in June. He stands there with blank face and I tell him to leave me alone. What I came to know was that this house was completed in September and was started in Mid June 1984. Morale of this story is that true spiritual Guru’s are always with you and with your dreams and your aspirations. It is we the disciples who some time forget their love and blessings. I as Mantoo get shivers when I remember the scene of Windows that Morning even today. Jai Gurudev ! Mantoo !”
